Custom Hammond Organ Direct Box
Currently available for sale is a custom solution for wiring a Hammond organ into a sound system. This takes the direct output from the Hammond's internal speaker and converts it to a balanced XLR output for use in any conventional sound system. There are a variety of custom options available for this direct box, and as there are many different Hammond models and serial number variances, a quote will first need to be determined for your specific system. Rough cost estimates for possible configurations are shown below, along with several photos. A copy of the manual is available upon request. All units feature a near-flat frequency response.
Current turnaround time for a unit is around 3 weeks with shipping available anywhere in the US, and installation options are available as well for an additional fee.
Also available is a standard, passive direct box featuring the Crimson Audio CT-121di transformer. This is an excellent solution for guitars, basses, and other passive instruments that need an unbalanced-to-balanced conversion.
